The Bolts
WHO ARE THE BOLTS? – The Bolts were founded (in Fall 2007) by brothers Addam, Heath and Austin Farmer. While spending years performing and writing music for many of their other groups, the three Farmer brothers decided to invest the majority of their time, wits, and creativity in a group that featured the three of them together, along with their good friends and talented musicians Ryan Kilpatrick and Matt Champagne.
Members of The Bolts have performed under contract at Disneyland’s Tomorrowland Terrace Stage. They have also performed at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, The Grove of Anaheim, Universal City Walk’s BB Kings, Downtown Disney’s Jazz Kitchen, as a “featured artist” at Downtown Disney, The Whisky-A-Go-Go in West Hollywood, The World Famous Troubadour in Los Angeles, The Knitting Factory (Main Stage) in Los Angeles, The Alley (Fullerton, CA), Chain Reaction (O.C., CA), The Crazy Horse, The Galaxy Theater (Santa Ana, CA), and many other well known venues.
LIKE A FANTASY – The debut album from The Bolts, released in May 2008, is packed with head-turning vocal harmonies, thumping rhythms, and infectious melodies influenced by pop culture giants such as The Beach Boys, The Four Freshmen, The Killers, Muse and many other ground-breaking artists.
With a variety of styles ranging from feel-good pop-rock songs like “Til the Day I Die”, to grooving hard rock beats as exemplified in “She Don’t Know What She Means”, to sing-a-long anthems like “The Art of Apathy”, The Bolts have created a collection of tunes that appeals to many.
WHAT DISTINGUISHES THE BOLTS FROM OTHER ARTISTS? – The Bolts have a variety of styles, catchy musical hooks, and heart-felt lyrics that allow for a wide appeal and can be enjoyed by everyone. The group has a set list of over 50 songs including originals and covers which make them great band for school dances, festivals, company parties, weddings, grad nights, birthdays, and many other private, as well as public, events (in addition to nightclub showcase gigs featuring power sets made up of originals). With lots of stage presence, crowd interaction, and exceptional musicianship, The Bolts provide a fun and crowd-friendly performance that keeps fans coming back for more.

JayaR
Born in suburban every town USA, JayaR was swept away by the kinetic forces of life at an early age and has maintained that momentum to this very moment. A vagabond of sorts, he learned the craft of guitar through human interaction, an innate love of sound, and an adventurous spirit that has swept him from city to city and country to country, leaving behind a resounding echo.
His passion for performance landed him in California filled with hopes to hear and be heard, and that very passion is evident in every sound he makes. An orchestra in one instrument, the powerful ambiance of his 12-string play is the perfect accent to his vivid 6-string storytelling. Within these elements, alongside the complementary contrast of his soothingly sweet voice, a tale is told, a pain is bellowed, and the unknown depths are explored and left to resonate in mind and soul.
Provoking thought with his poignant lyrics while provoking body with strong hooks and high-powered guitar acrobatics, JayaR’s sound is beyond most conventional descriptions. His styles and influences range from Reggae to Folk, Hip-Hop to Classical, Funk to Blues, Alternative to Rock & Roll. Ultimately, each show is a journey of the senses with each song creating an adventure in a series of moments; an artist’s rendition of life’s momentum through sound.
Suicide Holiday
Since its conception in 2005, SUICIDE HOLIDAY has independently booked 7 national tours, played over 250 shows, including Germany, produced two EPs and sold over 5000 units out of the back of their ’78 Dodge Van. This did not go unnoticed in the Hollywood scene as they won the “Rock City News Award” for “best independent touring band” in December 2007.
The Los Angeles based band was formed by Ralf Dietel after his 30-day career as NINE INCH NAILS guitar player. The producer/singer/guitarist moved to the US from Germany where he stole the stage from bands such as the FOO FIGHTERS and RAMMSTEIN. On the drums is the beautiful and wild Niki Skistimas whose dangerous style and sound are emblematic to the core vision of SUICIDE HOLIDAY: a pretty girl who doesn’t just play the drums, she destroys them. The lineup completed by lead guitarist Jared Mark Annis’ screaming guitar assaults and Zach Mayberry’s seismic bass grooves, a SUICIDE HOLIDAY show is a seamless event with expertly crafted songs. Powered by BC Rich guitars, ddrums and Kustom Amplification, the band whips the audience into a frenzy that is only rivaled by the psychotic self-disregard that SUIICDE HOLIDAY demonstrates as they perform their music. After the finale, the crowd and the band collapse in a post-coital heap while everyone struggles to get their breath back.
Endorsed by Presonus studio gear, SUICIDE HOLIDAY has opened 2008 by independently releasing their self titled, self produced, full-length debut album. The band is also announcing the 11th of every month in 2008 as an official SUICIDE HOLIDAY called “evil11eventh.” On this day they will put a brand new song on their Web site www.suicideholiday.com for their fans to download for free!
Anina
Not since 1985 when Aha had a hit with “Take on me” has a Norwegian act had a Billboard No. 1. Anina is ready to change that. Ever since she was a persistent 3-year-old, forcing her parents to applaud her performances on the dinner table, she was determined to follow her calling. Throughout her childhood in Norway, she focused on dancing, singing and acting. She played lead roles in children’s musicals, plays and TV drama series. At age ten she wrote her first song. “It was crap, but I kept on writing and composing, and it slowly improved.” A t 14 life took a dramatic turn. Anina was hit by a rare spinal disorder that could have crippled her and destroyed her dreams. The spine is starting to twist. The doctors tell her to stop dancing. She decides to fight back – and starts a slow and painful process. For two long years, she has to wear a tight, hard plastic brace to stabilize the spine. But she refuses to let it stop her. Throughout this period, she continues to dance and sing on stage and act for TV. And miraculously, her spine condition improved. Graduating from performing arts high school in 2004, she got top grades in all subjects – including dance, evaluated on the same basis as everyone else. At age 15, she is signed by a major record label in Norway. The label wants her to sing dance versions of cover songs, but that doesn’t line up with her dream of being an “artist” (she’s not just a singer). Facing a critical dilemma – art or commerce – she chose to pursue the artist side of her ambition and terminated the contract. “I’ve always known where I wanted to go, and focused on that. I’m very stubborn, and have to believe in what I’m doing. The thing the label wanted me to do didn’t fit my vision.” In 2002 she starts working in studio with her own songs, and in 2005 she puts together a band – Million Dollar Baby – together with top musicians. Together they played gigs and festivals in Norway, as the By:Larm festival in Tromsoe in 2006 and the “Day of Music” in Oslo. Anina’s self-made – zero budget video gets a lot of airplay on national television, and is also being aired in the US at the “Unsigned TV-Show.” In 2005, Anina gets accepted to start studying at the acclaimed Songwriters Academy in Sweden. In the spring of 2006, Anina decides to focus on her solo career. She is accepted for the most prestigious talent contest in Norway “Big Break”. Subsequently she releases the single “Moments of Magic” on her own record label. At this stage, she chooses to be her own manager, PR-person, record label as well as artist. She does not want business strings in Norway that could limit her possibilities in the Land of Opportunity. The song reaches number 7 on the chart of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. At the end of 2006 she brings her music to LA, where industry legend Bill Siddons takes her under his wing. Siddons has managed artists such as the Doors, Crosby, Stills and Nash, and Alice in Chains, to name a few. Many people have advised Anina to give up her dreams, because it is such a long and hard road. But Anina is dedicated to make a living from what she loves the most – to be on stage and to move people with her music.
She will start recording her debut EP in august with multi-million selling producer Ben Grosse (Marilyn Manson, Filter, Vertical Horizon, Alter Bridge, Ben Folds). Watch out for this Norwegian viking!
Jody Whitesides
Jody Whitesides was born In New York city to two very proud parents. Jody’s mother, Mary Whitesides is an accomplished interior decorator, and his father Kim Whitesides a commercial illustrator. Both knew at a very early age that their son Jody had something very special about him. By the time Jody was nine his parents had had enough of the day-to-day grind of New York City, so they picked up and moved to a much quieter place, Park City, Utah. It would be in Park City where young Jody would begin his journey into the wonderful world of exploring curiosities and possibilities. Jody began playing little league baseball, soon to be followed by a deep love for racing Radio Control cars. By the time Jody was 17 he won the number one driver of the year in the Stock Car Class. Jody also found he had a special talent and skill for freestyle skiing; Jody was at one point ranked in the top twenty nationally. By the time Jody was twenty he had learned how to play lead guitar, so he enrolled for a semester in the prestigious Berklee College of music in Boston, Massachusetts. When a friend called Jody and told him his chances of making it would be better in Hollywood, Jody then enrolled in the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, California. Jody has now turned into an accomplished songwriter as well as an exciting stage performer and lead vocalist.
Jody’s hard work and determination began paying off with a performance at a nightclub gig where a talent scout, Marvin Spruill, spotted him. After blowing Marvin away with his stage magic and countless strong future hit songs, Marvin would arrange a phone conversation between Jody and legendary hit record producer, promoter and star maker Maurice (the general) Starr. Starr is known around the world for discovering producing and promoting pop teen icons New Kids On The Block, R& B hit teen sensation New Edition and Spanish heart throbs Menudo featuring Ricky Martin. Starr’s music has sold over 500 million records worldwide and earned him more than 750 gold and platinum awards. When Jody asked Maurice to join his On Records team, he directed Maurice to his website where Starr would find himself blown away by Jody’s soulful rich vocal style. Starr immediately became an entertainment consultant to Jody’s Practical Insanity CD project.
When Starr asked Jody to name some of his favorite songs from his Practical Insanity CD, Jody first replied with “Closer To Ourselves,” which is an up-tempo, melodic groove rock song that will keep your foot tapping and your body shaking all night long. His second favorite is “Tabloid Affair,” which he explains as a straight ahead alternative rock song that will make your head bob. Number three was “Days of Our Lives,” with its blues-rock relaxing groove that will make you move from side to side. And finally, his fourth favorite is “Falling In.” Jody describes this song, with its mid-tempo groove, as a dreamy love song that never mentions the word love. Now that Jody feels like he is finally on his way to the top of the entertainment business, his humanitarian side would like to one day create a music festival much like the Sundance film festival. Jody looks forward to performing for all of his current and future fans, and he wants everyone to take note that Jody Whitesides is America’s, and the world’s, next big thing.
