A top Los Angeles recording studio will officially sponsor the Los Angeles Music Network’s Rock and Urban Music Contest “LAMN Jams” which launched this month (June). Among other prizes, the winners will receive one song mixed by Ronan Chris Murphy at Veneto West Studios. LAMN Jam Mix Prize
Rules & Regulations:
Two lucky winners (of the Rock Music and the Urban Music Contests) will
receive a prize of one song mixed by Ronan Chris Murphy at Veneto West studio (a $750 value). Assuming the material meets the criteria listed
below, the prize will include all mix fees, studio time fees and related
material/media costs.
Prize includes the mix of one song and is limited to one day of studio
time (up to 10 hours total).
Multi-track recordings must be mix-ready. This includes all editing,
arrangement and production decisions made in advance of the mix session.
10 hours should be sufficient to mix the overwhelming majority of songs,
but excessively complicated songs such as those with more than 60
individual tracks are not considered good candidates for this prize, as
it may not be realistic to mix them within 10 hours.
Winner is welcomed and encouraged to attend the mix session. Winner is
also welcome to have input on the mixes and offer suggestions, but the
prize does not included revisions or future alterations to the mix
beyond the one day of work.
Ronan Chris Murphy and Veneto West will make no claim of ownership of
the mixes, but the winner agrees to include the following credit on any
commercial release of the mixes, “Mixed by Ronan Chris Murphy at Veneto
West, Los Angeles.”
Mixing session will be booked through the studio management and treated
with “same as cash” priority. However, failure to show up for a
scheduled session or a last minute cancellation will constitute a
forfeiture of the prize.
