ARTISTS WANTED!
The Los Angeles Music Network presents a double music contest next month (June 2008). Taking LAMN Jams to a new level, urban and rock music artists are invited to perform original material for a panel of industry experts and receive live critiques. Winners move up to the finale and get to compete for the Grand Prize.
Artists are invited to submit material to perform in the ROCK & URBAN Music Contests. Those selected will perform at Skinny’s Lounge, located at 4923 Lankershim Boulevard in the NoHo Arts District (N. Hollywood).
Performance dates are as follows:
ROCK Contest: Jun 9, Jul 7, Aug 11 (finale)
URBAN Contest: Jun 23, Jul 21, Aug 25 (finale)
TOP INDUSTRY EXPERTS Guest experts committed to participate include executives from Universal Music Publishing Group, Electronic Arts Worldwide Music, Urban Network, Trans World Entertainment, MySpace Records and Red Queen Music (more pending).
PRIZES
- Optic Noise (music placement & licensing service): One (1) hour music licensing consultation, marketing assessment, with a half hour of phone follow up. A $375 value.
- Rock Contest Grand Prize Winner: Release of a single and a B-side through On/Off Records. This includes several hours of marketing and promotion time by the staff of On/Off. Estimated value $4,000.
- Grand Prize Winner (one Urban, one Rock) included on Tunecore compilation
- Grand Prize winners will receive (1) free single upload and one (1) free video upload to iTunes
- One-year OnlineGigs.com membership
