Maria Mayoralgo is responsible for signing and developing new talent. She works closely with Missing Link Music’s current roster of artists, songwriters, and producers, such as Skyzoo, Afrika Bambaataa, Mudville, Devin The Dude, Pete Francis of Dispatch, Keith Murray, including the late and great Bobby Byrd and Chalmers “Spanky” Alford. She develops new projects, collaborations, and television and film opportunities. She was a scheduled speaker at the 5th and 6th Annual Dynamic Producer Conference, 2006 Urban Threshold Demo Shopping Conference, and 2007 CMJ Music Marathon & Film Festival. She also performed spoken word at various open mic showcases. Maria is drawn to all kinds of music from Hip Hop and Soul to Jazz and Rock. She has developed a strong instinct for good music over the years, keeping her ear to the ground, and navigating through the challenges of the music industry. Eric de Fontenay has spent his career steeped in what has been called the “digital revolution”. In the 90’s, he worked on a variety of policy issues surrounding the communication & broadband sectors for telecommunication carriers and regulators across the world. With the emergence of the Internet, Eric established MusicDish (formerly Tag It) in 1997 as a new media firm utilizing emerging technologies and models to produce, package and distribute original web-based content. Making an early bet on the music sector, Eric launched what has grown into some of the leading voices in the growing debates challenging and shaping the industry through its trade e-publications MusicDish and Mi2N.
